The Kelvin forms a wide loop as it passes through the campus grounds of the Vet School - there is a drivewayfrom Maryhill Road that passes in front of Wolfson Hall and runs diagonally across campus to a bridge over the river. You will see round concrete plinths around a metre high next to the river. They were to be used to block the bridge if the Germans invaded.

| Towards Dawsholm Park (formed in the 1920s from 72 acres aquired by Corporation of the City of Glasgow) there are footpaths along both banks of the river - those on the west bank being very much higher than the east bank. Both banks are heavilly wooded. | |
